The technologies developed will help enhance our understanding of the ocean’s interconnected systems while benefiting industries like fisheries and aquaculture. The data generated can support conservation efforts and provide critical insights for policymakers. To ensure broad accessibility, TechOceanS technologies have been designed to be low-cost and compatible with existing infrastructure, making them usable by countries with varying resources. Additionally, TechOceanS has collaborated with IOC-UNESCO by establishing a project community containing new “ocean best practices” for training and monitoring ocean systems.
